Plymouth is in Hennepin County, about 15 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. With close to 80,000 residents, it is one of the largest cities in Minnesota.

School districts here depend on the address. Wayzata Public Schools (ISD 284) serves most of the west and south parts of the city.
